Guys gas stove + cooking pot

Why does it not work no matter what ? i put water into the stove, and connected everything and now when i put it on the ground and press "Switch On" nothing happens
i was expecting it to cook me food anywhere i want, what am i doing wrong or its just bugged?

Wow its dayZ being dayZ i guess, 2 min later we tried using it in another house and now it works perfectly fine, before that, the F button wasnt doing anything, probably just a bug

Not everything is a "bug", the gas stove/cooking pot combo is one of the most reliable things in the game.

Not everything is a "bug", the gas stove/cooking pot combo is one of the most reliable things in the game.

yeah its the best thing ever, you can cook everything you want, and its portable and doesnt take too many slots. I wish the devs could actually make like Recipes for different food so that you could combine lets say like 2 mushrooms + 2 chicken breats or something to make a 2 slot meal that gives way more food than if you would eat them sepparately
you know like as a reward for actually spending time on finding different food and combining it.

the cooking pot also acts as a water container, uses less water purification tablets, fills up really fast

I had the same issue, the proplem is that what you are trying to turn on is the gas can. In order to turn the stove on simply place the stove down without the pot, and you will be able to turn the stove on...after this simply place the pot on the burning stove!

yea i watched it.
i never had problems usin the stove in 1.06, maybe the one u got is just bugged for whatever reason - just toss it and try a different one i guess.

If you mean you solved it by removing the pot then putting it back on after you ignited the fire then no....i have been using the gas stove / cooking pot combo forever and never had any problems.

If you bring it into a shed will it warm you?

Nope i tried. I haven't tried sitting direction top of it though but i doubt it. A gas flame that size generates a lot of heat indoors but i don't know about outdoors when you have wind and other factors. A camp fire for sure if you make it big enough.

I lived in a tent in the middle of winter and would use a coleman stove to heat it once in awhile, works quite nicely for a poor kid from the country.

that worked for me, took off the pot, looked at the stove and scrolled and did "turn on" ty
