Spawning in different locations every time i change server.

I havnt played in a while. But when switch servers i spawn in different locations. First i was in the NW Airfield and then in the top east coast and so on.. what is happening? Is this new? Something wrong? etc. Please enlighten me! :-)

Anti-ghosting feature. Read the prompt when you change a server. "Position may be altered due to server change"

It's a new feature, designed to prevent ghosting into ppls bases.

Mostly along the coast. About 1-2km inland

I love it. Geared players hop to the coast so i get easy gear up when respawning, and it keeps players on the server at night time and you cant server hop for loot anymore

Thanks for this information; I like the feature for the reasons Nica has stated.

Question - if I return to a server I was previously playing on, do I still get a random location or appear where I was when I left said server? Thank you.

NB - the filter for games previously played does not seem to work - I have set it to "Show" - am I doing anything wrong?

Connecting back to the same server you previously played on your position should be what it was when you disconnected from it.

If you just click play on the main screen you should connect to your previous server.

Check all the other filters you are using to filter for the servers as one or more maybe hiding your server history.

EDIT - all filters disabled but Previoulsy Pleyed sey to "Show" - result - zero servers. I've favourited the one I want to play on so no big deal, was just curious as to why it doesn't work (for me).

It could be buggy ( I frequent my own servers a lot with a selection of public servers I know ) so could be worth investigating further.

For clarification....

If you leave server A and go to server B, you will spawn in a random location.
If you then leave server B and return to server A, you will spawn in a random location.

If you leave server A and then return to server A, you should spawn back in the same place you logged out so long as you haven't logged that character into any other server on that hive.
