Now on PVP it is a different ballgame altogether. It is a hell of a lot harder to establish a good base and if you do, u sure as hell do not want to advertise your base with a bunch of lights. U just asking for trouble. And of course glow sticks, flares or any other light is a huge target on your back.
You did not mention, but I have to assume you play on PVP servers. (you would most likely not be here asking if your home server is PVE. So this is the advice I offer. a compromise to your night dilemma. Find a home RP or PVE server. Someplace you can go relax do some hunting build a nice base, and when your PVP server goes dark, go play on your new server. Own a crappy car that u do not need to worry about it being stolen.
It may not be your thing, but PVE servers can be fun if you find a good server. That is the only help I can offer as night is a fickle biotch.
There pants end up full of skid marks because they can't see.
You know what to do at night?
the same as what you do in the day.
And you can craft a fire to see and craft a torch out of trees so there really is no excuse other than night time scares people.
What I want is a collection of short creepy sounds that I can play down the mic as I creep around on people. Something good and scary.
Used to be a dude on youtube who would put down a walkie talkie in police stations and play creepy stuff. Found it pretty original :)
Prioritize a light source as part of your normal kit (you can craft a torch easily). Another option, sack up and enjoy the atmosphere as you creep through a town with zombie noises all around.
oO Never thought of using the walkie talkies. New mission parameters established.
of course i have, i said in op if you bothered to read that i rarely have chemlights or other light source. so why do you think i would have asked if i had night vision? let alone batteries? next you will ask if i know this game has guns in it.
