You could decide to read through the comments, and you will note the reason for OP losing his cars. There is no "MAJOR" issue here.
I should not be able to take a wheel off a vehicle I find immobilized because I know I can work the game engine in a way that despawns a vehicle that by all means and reasoning should be there regardless of what parts I took off of it the following reset.
Since you don't play the game, why is this concerning you? Fact of the matter is that if you remove a wheel from a car that's in circulation, it becomes incomplete and will decay and be returned to a spawn point. OP will now have to figure out another method of protecting his valued car.
