Important Message for DayZ Devs
Please update your BattlEye Anti Cheat software to the latest version. Your current version of BE is incompatible with Windows 10 Version: 1903 and any preview insider builds of Windows 10 since the last quarter of 2018. Unless updated, many people who play your game will be unable to play your game (Windows 10 will block BattleEye from running) and users will have to uninstall your game to receive future Windows updates without issues. I will also be posting this message on a few other major game's Steam pages to hopefully kick you slackers into gear ;)

Battleye is third party software, thus not part of BI, look at your end for the problem.

I don't think you understand my post. Only the game developers have the ability to push out new versions of BattlEye for their games. It's not something users are able to do manually.

I just saw this suggestion on reddit somewhere. Only issue is that it's an old solution so I am worried about incompatibilities / false flagging my account as a cheater for manually changing BattlEye files.

On the contrary, it is you who don't understand; Battleye is the software provider and BI is the customer. Take your problem to Battleye direct, not their customer.

BE have fixed the issue, it is down to the developers updating to the latest version, how many more times do I need to explain this? BattlEye have came out with statements saying exactly this.

I have it that BE updates to the latest version whenever one is connected to the internet, irrespective of the game played, be it Dayz or any other. It is not dependent on the game developer to update a third party client like BE. If you have a link to the statement by BE that BI must update to the latest version, kindly share that.

I really hope the DayZ developers know what karma is. Having so many people thinking bad thoughts on you can't be good for the soul. They desperately need to get there ♥♥♥♥ together. These people are the causes of a number of stress related illnesses in the world.

Roll back to 1809 until it is updated?

Sorry, it was Microsoft that made the statement (they are currently partnered with BE to fix this issue):
"There has been an issue with older versions of anti-cheat software used with games where after updating to the latest 19H1 Insider Preview builds may cause PCs to experience crashes. We are working with partners on getting their software updated with a fix, and most games have released patches to prevent PCs from experiencing this issue. To minimize the chance of running into this issue, please make sure you are running the latest version of your games before attempting to update the operating system. We are also working with anti-cheat and game developers to resolve similar issues that may arise with the 20H1 Insider Preview builds and will work to minimize the likelihood of these issues in the future."

"most games have released patches to prevent PCs from experiencing this issue" suggests that it is down to the game developers to update, patch this in some way.

Roll Back to 1809 version if you have recently upgraded to 1903:
For a limited time after upgrading to Windows 10, you’ll be able to go back to your previous version of Windows by selecting the Start button, then select Settings > Update & Security > Recovery and then selecting Get started under Go back to the previous version of Windows 10. This will keep your personal files, but it'll remove apps and drivers installed after the upgrade, as well as any changes you made to settings. In most cases, you'll have 10 days to go back.

Also BE state this is related to Nvidia drivers on the FAQ Page here:
