Soaked clothes for no reason?

Hi, me and my friend disconnected in the building. After a few hours when we joined again, we connected and both were soaked with completely wet gear. So we decided to make a fire. BUT when we are sitting right next to it, our temperature does not move and our health decreases. Its sunny day on the server and we made 3 campfires in a row, sitting there like 15minutes and still dying. We disconnected the server because we were almost dead. Please help! It happened on official 2-12 DE server

nope, I never had to do that, just sat close to campfire and it was ok after 2mins. But now, baking my ass in campfire 15min and still nothing, I have tried to undress my clothes and sitting just "naked" in campfire and nothing helps...

maybe I am paranoid but after we got almost every "high end" gear with AK´s VSS Thundra etc on our back and night vision almost on everything, it feels like the server said "nope", you live too long, give it back to server... because like it started... we disconnected completely fine in building and joined soaked, both of us and it cant stop

That's very weird. Never saw this problem. Try to change server, log out with your vest in your hands i dont know what you can do :S. Try also to non stop running during a moment

This bug happend during earlier patches to me and my friend aswell. If it is the same bug we had, the only fix is a new character unfortunatly.

We were running like mad, temperature shows it goes up, but never too much to stop health dropping

shoes soaked too, so I put them off, No mods used, its an official 2-12 DE server

All that gear and you cant figure out how to get dry. Hmmm! It could be something as simple as boiled food in your jacket. Who knows. Guess you might lose that gear. I'd take it all off and find some fresh dry cloths to get warm. Maybe then you will survive.

Try taking them off all of them and wringing them out, light a fire and dry each item one at a time! I know putting a soaked jacket on can make other items damp... so maybe one has glitched?

So I have joined almost dead, wrang my clothes fast, took the jacket into hands and disconnected. Meanwhile my friend ran to spot I disconnected and prepared fire there. Then I joined back and connected with full health and dry... so I did not need that fire. I dont understand but all is fine now. wtf

This might really be the case. I remember that every time i ate boiled food i had the wet symbol.

But looking at the solution for the OP it's easier calling it a bug than looking at a fault on your side.
