He might be talking about why he respawns as a different character when he dies which HAS ALWAYS BEEN AND STILL IS BROKEN since .63 came out. Where in .62 it would always respawn you as who your character was before he or she died. So GG at being rood Hyperion.
Anyway there's a work around to this problem.
To make sure you always spawn as the character you want make sure you do the following:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1788631633
Everytime, before you join a server make sure you select your freshy character on the main menu screen. You'll know who this character is because it'll say 'CUSTOMIZE CHARACTER' above the 'CHANGE SERVER' and 'PLAY' buttons. Then you hit 'CHANGE SERVER' and join whatever server you want. However this doesn't change the look of a character thats currently alive. You'll have to die and respawn.
Using the DayZSA Launcher to join modded servers? Use the 'Load' button instead of the 'Join' button and you can load up in the main menu and select your freshy character before you join the modded server using the in game server browser. However some modded servers force you into random characters no matter what which is lame and theres no way around that if the server owner has ait set it up that way.
Otherwise if you aren't simply hitting apply like Hyperion said. Yeah make sure you do that. Lol
EDIT: I'm actually unaware if this has been fixed because I've been using my work around ever since .63 released.
It's "rude", not "rood".
Anyway; A wall of text, and then you end up stating what I did in the first place, like.....
