Don't play official
Rule 1 of Dayz
Day Z is a game that is truly ruined by cheaters. It's also what attracts them to it so strongly. Them knowing they have cost you hours of time. I quit playing the original Day Z mod on Arma II because the cheating became so commonplace when the game went 'viral' and became super popular. It's good to see that cheating on official servers on the standalone version of Day Z ten years later are not nearly as common. Sadly, though, they do still exist! Just be glad you are not them at the end of the day.
What stops them from being on private hives?
they are still around till this day, speed walking and item spawning and all. Just seen them on official.
The big IF.
Looking at how many confuse parts of the game with bugs and how many are butthurt when they get killed how many encounters with cheaters are over exaggerated?
How do you report cheaters in DayZ?
Official servers you are on your own, nothing you can do, no way to find out who it was. They will only be banned if battleye detects them.
