ERROR: WARNING "you've been kicked. Client contains PBO which is not part of server data"

I seriously need help i cant join a single server at all. I've tried everything. I deleted and reinstalled my mods, day z itself, I verified integrity. I have 0 clue what to do I was told its just my client that is screwed up and I will need a hot fix which is unlikely to happen. I disabled mods and still cant join an official server. I AM UP TO DATE WITH THE PATCH. PLEASE HELP!!!!

I also DO NOT OWN A SERVER IM TRYING TO GET INTO SERVERS I PLAY ON AND ALL I GET IS THIS ERROR MESSAGE.

Sounds like a mod is running or something else which is loading a PBO file.
Suggest trying Dayzlauncher.exe (found in dayz folder) disable all mods. Try again.
No Joy suggest deleting addons and scripts folder under dayz folder within steam and verify game cache.

This will be an issue with your client setup and not an issue with the game per say.

Last but not least suggest using DayzSALauncher (google it) if you want to play modded and vanilla servers moving forwards.

this happened to me ealier today, tried a couple of things but no change but it got fixed after i reinstalled Dayz

I just fixed this for myself, same exact issue. Browse to the DayZ game installation folder and find the folder marked "dta". Inside that look for any '.pbo' files that have a different date than the one from the game installation and delete them. You might need to do the same for the "addon" folder as well, I can't remember exactly. I had the game installed for nearly three years my files were easy to spot. Hope this helps.

Another way is to delete the 'dta' and 'addon' folder completely then have steam verify file integrity to download the missing pieces.

Hi All, I have also this issue, came up today, the game has been working fine, but now it is full stop! I am playing without mods, and on the official servers. But got this message today, "You were kicked off the game. (Verifying PBO failed: dta\scripts.pbo) I have deleted the game, deleted steam also, re-installed, looked in the dta folder, nothing sticks out, all have the same date, same in the Addons folder! appreciate all the help I can get, I am totally lost, and frustrated. I have tride all the above, still not working.

Deleted DTA & Addon's then validated.
11gb & 197 files later 30min all is aok.
When it finished it again validated files OK then Auto validated DayZ workshop files.
We have just had an update to workshop files is it/could it be tied ??? Einstein where are you.
Or is this a call for Sheldon.

this error will kick you out of the game with such a notification, because you may have had some mod that was from the same dev that uses the same keys, and if you uninstalled any mod that had such a key, it will be removed, check the folder with the keys and there is no key named "VPP.bikey"

Bom dia. pra nível de conhecimento e solução do erro "you are kicked off the game client contains pbo".
conseguir resolver o problema da seguinte forma: Ja estava com dias que precisava formata minha maquina, porem a indisposição era maior.
Ja aproveitando erro do DAYZ que me ocorreu, tive que toma essa medida, pq nenhuma das forma que achei sobre o mesmo na internet tava me ajudando.
formatei minha maquina e instalei o jogo em outra unidade de disco fora do windows.
não usei o mesmo DLC. tive que baixa o jogo novamente a fazer todo o processo de instalação e atualização dos MOD.
por fim rodei o jogo e como ja meio que sem esperança, o bendito jogo funciona.

After two miserable weeks of absolutely nothing working, even deleting and reinstalling, I came across this.
Search for VPP.bikey, renamed it, and now I'm able to log back on and play again
