About 100 meters and loot is the same although loot spawns less frequent. This also depends on how fast you are travelling.

so if i see zombies more than 100m away, they're not spawned from me?

That's how the mod used to do it. I was under the impression servers spawned them globally in the stand alone.

Not really sure what you mean by global spawning. Never heard of that. Please explain if you dont mind.

Basically that they spawn independent of players being in the area or not.

zombies spawns on entire map. No matter is there a player nearby or not.
it is the main reason why the BIS made dayz standalone. Because it was impossible in dayz mod

very simple to put it, zombies are spawned all over the map but only show with in 700m or less

That would cause some serious lag issues. This would be the only game i ever heard of that would use resources to path ai when there is no need for it and frankly DayZ engine would grind to a halt.

there is no AI for zombies in static state

Global spawning haha yes i get it they do spawn on the map but the idea that they are roaming around invisible until you happen onto one is not correct.
