Is it just me or is ladder climbing sounds like nulled to other players?

I was up on the radio tower/base, just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about with a radio.
I hear a single step; BLAM I get shot from what I think is behind, dead.

And I did not hear any sort of climbing or other suspisious sounds. Might be just a bad case of being hit by someone who just joined back in, or DayZ sounds seriously ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me over?

Hmmmm.... you are in a very high place in plain sight standing still checking your twitter account or something and you get shot in the head by some clown down below with a crappy little gun.

I know it was close enough. The shots must've come from behind, and the position I was standing from would not allow anyone to shoot me from below, except if you actually were on top.

Im on top of a very tall building at a construction site. Only way up is a ladder. I felt safe and thought I could see everyone coming towards me. I was on the West side, looking west. Id see anything coming from the west who would see me.

I hear a few steps behind me. I try to turn around. I get shot. Some guy from Brazil is making fun of me.

When playing with my friend I notice we make a lot of noise climbing ladders. I just think when your up high you get caught up in the view, you dont notice the sudden climbing noise because of the wind, or its syncing up with your radio going kchshhkkk every time you switch channels.

Recently some guys hopped my base's wall ( I heard that) but then they turned my wall into a gate and I was like wtf how did I not notice that.

Years ago Im playing paint ball in a very very very small little forest. It was a very well grown grove of pine trees. Overgrown foilage everywhere. We play a game where you can go everyone in the forest (without just taking off) so Im going kind of deep to see what its like. Bushes are getting thick. Suddenly someone's back is in front me and my barrel is almost touching them. It's three homeless people with a camp fire. Tents and everything. And its all crammed together in this one tight little area. Really there was no room for any of it but they made it fit. So I just step back into the bushes and vanish as if I was Solid Snake himself without any of the 3 noticing me. It was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HILARIOUS!!!! The barrel of my paintball gun was literally 2 iches away from this homeless guys back. And I just step back like nothing. I was in full rainproof camo. So I just blended in. But man that will always stay with me. Its SOOOO easy to sneak up on people. You just dont know how easy it really is until the barrel of your gun is at some homeless guys back.
