1.05 streams of water
So apparently these so called clean sources give me cholera every time i drink from them what the hell is the issue? running water is suppose to be clean.

hate to break it to you but that's a myth you can still get many Waterborne Illnesses from running water in real life.

okay, but this is DayZ and all patches since .63 streams have been clean so.... and im pretty sure devs didnt say anything about changing it

they made it so that when you drink unclean water you get sick 99% of the time. you would always have a chance of getting sick from a stream or a pond.

hmm, maybe thats what vitamins are good for? eat before drinking from stream

Vitamins actually increase your resistance so yes it helps having excellent resistance vs poor.

If I recall correctly 1.05 pretty much made casual water drinking from anything other than wells a risky choice. Check the patch notes :-)

I have yet to try using a clean bottle on a stream to see if I get sick. I did it with some murky pond water and of course got sick. Raced back to base to get some antibiotics, which instantly cured it.

I'd say, if you wanna risk drinking water from other sources than the pumps, at least visit a hospital for some antibiotics first; they're usually not hard to find. There are plenty of cooking pots, plastic bottles and tinctures. Desinfect bottles once and use them at wells and you can run across half the map without needing more water. Plus a lot of zombies have cans on them.
