There was an Arma 3 mod for this, pretty sure it was utilized in the Breaking Point mod.

Shouldn't be too hard to get it up and running for DayZ and am kind of surprised it hasn't already been done.

It would also be a good feature for dead bodies so you can drag/carry to a safe place to loot.

Ofcourse, but DayZ first of all is running on a different engine and script engine. None of that is portable over to DayZ. And very simple crude things can be done, but nobody wants that. Feature creep ruined the alpha. A lot of half-assed features
