The fog is a bambi's friend. It helps hide them from snipers in the hills.

The fog is not a view distance clipping tool to improve fps, it is a weather effect.

If it's purpose was to clip your view distance in order to raise fps it would be present all over the map, all of the time.

So no, you can't change it.

May be next time try asking your question without the thinly veiled dig at the devteam. You might find people are a little more responsive.

Just saying.

Than why is it in every server, all the time, and so, so, so dense? it sure behaves like a clipping tool...

Technically not. Most lag is in the big cities on the coast. After they added that fog the frames went up, so i wouldn't doubt it was made for that.

I think the fogs a bit much if you ask me. No one would settle there in reality if there was fog 24/7

The fog is there to stay on the Official Vanilla servers... wait until the mods come out.. then maybe some servers might get rid of the fog...

IMHO.... the best idea the Developers had was the fog....

It is entirely possible that the current situation is not the desired final effect, we are still in development after all.

I did find this, goto 1:00:00
