DayZ
Assault Pack v Dry Pack
I have a sweet 28 slot BLACK Drypack but I also found a 28 slot assault pack. The assault pack looks sweet, but is it also water tight like my drypack?

Correct me if I am wrong but The SPOSN Tortilla Backpack should also be water proof.

traded my hunter pack out for a coyote, regret it now. I feel like a walking target, the thing takes over half my screen...

never gonna pick up an alice pack

just wear a black or green raincoat, or at least have one in your jacket and swap them when the rain starts, raincoats keep your pack dry too

Actually nothing gets wet at all in backpacks of any kind in any Dayz build to date. so do not worry about stuff getting wet in backpacks.

I always go for the assualt pack. I was in the Army and actually used one. I know what there capable of.
The black assault pack is my preferred one in the game, closely followed by the green drypack.

Such a shame about the huge white letters on the black drypack... Like a huge target on your back. Without those, the black drypack would easily be my favourite.

stuff gets damp in backpacks in the rain/swimming but i think its just a description as nothing is affected by it, you can swim to skalisty with matches in your pocket, they get wet and still work to light a fire, so i'd ditch the dry bag in favor of any type of military bag

You're right, but they're bound to implement the damp/wetness mechanic properly in the future. Maybe it's a scripting thing so it could come as soon as 0.63... fingers crossed anyway.

Drybags and those other waterproof bags and protector cases are going to become essentials very soon, you mark my words!
