SVD or Winchester?

Which do u guys prefer?

Winchester for long range sniping svd for mid-long range sniping so if your sniping in a town area a svd would be ideal but if your outside a town Winchester is better because of the scope difference however svd does more damage and has a higher mag count and has more common rounds so really it's up to you

i mean you can search 1000 tents and not find a single SVD by server hopping.
And you can find a Winchester, by searching like 10 civilian cars.

SVD and Winchester do the exact same damage. SVD has more dps because it is a semi and has more rounds per mag.

Dude rarity means everything in DayZ.
What im trying to say is that you can die with a winchester, and then run loot a few cars and you will find another one, as for SVD you can run around for hundreds of hours and not find it.
Some people in these threads were traiding insane gear like a VSS, or fully stacked M4 prestine with alot of 60' ammo for the SVD because its that rare.
It doesnt even matter if the winchester is better, SVD is soooo rare that i would take it over the winchester any day.

Like for example i take the M4 when i find it, over a AKM.
Even tho i understand that AKM is currently the most OP weapon in the game, its shoots strong sniper ammo, and its automatic, you can spray with it. And has both sniper Scope and mid-range scope, i still use M4 over the AKM because its more rare.

Well these are just my opinion, maybe you find SVD everyday and you dont really care about the rarity, then i would pick the winchester, because it has a small recoil and you can load alot of bullets into it, without loading a clip into it, like you have to do in the CR527.

SVD. Once you have it I'd say its reliable af. If you are skilled the scope magnification isn't such a huge deal for you. You have an integrated rangefinder, semi auto and dead on accuracy.
