I'm glad you're able to see that. They're on 2 seperate engines as well.
The other is a survival game with a open world and a strong focus on survival
As for the 2 games, they both have guns and loot, that's about it.
Rest is just people grasping at straws and not really getting what this game is about.
BUGS in both thats the only thing that ties them in a same group
PUBG is a last-man-standing shooter"(Steam-Store description)
Where does it state "progressing the survival idea further", in a arena deathmatch title? A clear distinction would be the amount if any of the basic mechanics for a survival title. I didn't realise PUBG had the basic survival mechanics? I thought it was a arena deathmatch last-man-standing genre title? with more in common with CsGo if you had to loot weapons & ammo?
1 - Shelter (Protection against the environment)
2 - fire (Well that is self explanatory)
3 - food & Water (Again self explanatory)
4 - Environment effects (disease, sickness and weather affects otherwise what would be the point of building a shelter, apart from storing loot?)
So obviously it is not in the survival genre, horror hybrid-MMO genre (No infected, zombies "Sorry it has a mode" or even aliens). Would you even class something like that as open-world when there are forced restrictions corralling players?
PUBG is nothing more than a Arena Deathmatch Battle-Royale where you play matches and nothing more (Basically CsGo with a basic loot spwan system loot) I'm not seeing the comparision to DayZ or even the survival genre. You do realise those Steam tags are user made? If enough individuals tagged CsGo as "survival" it would show. lol.
Now that is a fact..
