how often do servers restart?

Server restarting does not reset loot... That is a misconception carried over from the mod, I think.

To answer the question..partially; It depends, i am not sure aboot the official hives but the community ones are all differant ...mostly, can you sleep now friend I think so.

There is a difference between restart and reset. Some of the private hives do a reset every so often, in Blue Waffle, the servers are reset every 6 hours. That means that all storage devices and vehicles are restarted. What your charcter carries is all that you can keep. However, I have not noticed that there was more loot generally on any of the two I play on.

no it does it will refill the loot to the min amount that is needed in that area

yeah i mean how often does loot respawn. food, guns, clothes

Server owners can't control loot spawn rates (yet). Also, loot spawn checks are done every 5 seconds. Loot that gets spawned stays on the ground for 30 minutes and if there are too many items of that type, no more of it's type will spawn. (There are per-item thresholds and category thresholds.)

yes loot does respawn on restarts. Persistance wipes remove all loot off the map and places alot more back down so if the server does persistance wipes every restart then yes loot will be amazing on restarts but 8 hours after that wipe there will be very little loot if the server has been picked clean. on official servers no nothing changes not a damn thing. so no you wont find all that much on a official server. one of these days im making a video on this ♥♥♥♥ to proov my point.

Servers restart every 12hrs by default,this can be changed on any of the community servers.If you are looting tisy military base the only chance you have of getting good loot is right after a restart because once its gone it dosent respawn any loot until next restart,ive tested it.

I found a good server with a 4 hour restart and it's persistent. It's called send in the clowns I recommend it guys. Thanks for explaining tho
