You played 203 hrs on record and just installed the game today....
Ya... I really need to check profiles first before I ask.... save me some time.
No, DayZ is not optimized, but the "game" is running extremely well. And to be completely honest it has always ran fairly well on my system. When they added the new renderer last year is was a massive improvement on FPS.
I can't wait until Beta when real optimization occurs.
v0.60.133516 went to Experimental Branch around 15 Jun 2016... then to Stable.
It had the first version of new renderer technology ( Enfusion engine ) and a switch from DirectX 9 to DirectX 11 which improved the video performance (FPS) and graphics.... yes.
When it does.... the Developers don't even know until it happens... time will tell.
( happy now? )
(And yes. c:)
stick with the regular launch
i average around 95-100 fps . 50-60 in towns 190+ in the woods or fields
i'm assuming all your drivers are up to date, and you've tried running both steam and dayz as administrator and tried reinstalling dayz? if not those are good places to start :)
