i only have dayz and arma 2 why carnt i build and make fires

every video i see they in a crew and have bases and fires and all that i carnt even make a fire ect i only have dayz and arma 2 nothing else is that probably the reason need help thanks

the sandalone i think as i acrnt download the arma 2 mod for dayz as it says i need arma 2 oparation arrowhead

We were all noobs once, now run off an die from exposure (weather), Usain Bolt locals, friendly (Canis lupus) canines, stairs, stones, ladders (Then again that hasn't happen in awhile) desync. bugs/glithes, oh and of course your fellow survivors I'm sure one or two might show you how a fire functions (Just be vigilant for the uncontrollable laughter).....
