Movement techniques
Little tips on moving. Walking consumes far less energy so you will not get hungry or thirsty as fast. Also when walking you are more aware of your surroundings and can see far more 'details' in what's around you. You are not in any hurry in game, so walking is the optimal way to get around.

It is so easy to see a running 'player' and react accordingly, also if you can not exactly see the runner, you can hear the foot falls and equipment rattle from a good distance.

When you are moving stay off the roads and rails, parallel them, 10-15m in the woods, and if in open move 100-200m take a squat and look around and listen.

So many times I see and hear the threats long before they become a real danger. And out in the boonies hearing the wolves long before they get to you means you can react and get to a safe place before you are set upon. As well as the growl and footfalls of the Z's give you time to react and do the right thing.

You get food very easy so there's no point in wasting time to conserve energy

There are times on long 'hump's' through the boonies where food on the move is a premium.

I'd like it if we could perform a zed shuffle,,,, a way of walking that from a distance the unaided eye would see as the silhouette of a zed . :)

Trick is not to be seen from a distance, walk and stay in cover.

They don't always move. Dress up like one and go stand in the middle of a field for a while.
You might be surprised and actually get a few people that run past you. lol

You warm up while sprinting so that is benefitial.
Sprinting spawns often more Infected infront of you in Towns, so maybe not sprinting could be usefull sometimes.

Good advice. I try to walk as much as possible in villages and other built-up areas. I am much more aware of my surroundings that way and I might even get confused for a zombie at a distance.

I try to only sprint when I'm running between towns.

running should be ok just dont sprint.

I sometimes like to be seen , i do conceal my presence when I feel the need .:)

I often do the "W" "CNTRL" walk through a town makes you feel like you own the town ;)

wait for the Stamina ..... and wait for the forum cries!!!

It is so easy to go unnoticed as you move around in game. Yet so easy to see others in thier haste to get to where ever they as going. Will be fun if and when 'stamina' comes into game.

And not only the stamina, but I hope the intention on doing away with the "miracle heal" of a splint is a thing. Make you more aware of the need to NOT be seen as you are no longer in a position to E&E.

+1
I'm looking forward to the impact damage to clothes and gear from running through trees, as well as the stamina effect.
