Ok, wtf DayZ

I log off at Tisy. I spawn in at Tisy. I run 40 feet to a tent. Then I start randomly getting hit for massive amounts of damage by something invisble. wtf. Lag? Server has good ping.

No , you were hit by an invisible zombie.... Gotta climb up a ladder and relog to get it off you or run by a buddy and get it on them :) No sniper outta audio range is hitting you inside a tent. There is not far enough distance at Tisy for a sniper to be outta audio range and hit someone there. To many trees, hills, buildings. If you were out behind it near the debug zone i could see that mabey (MABEY)

I doubt that, because he said "Masive damage" and Infected usualy deal quite small amounts of damage.

Climbing a ladder ain't that great....(Still get PTSD just from looking at a ladder.)

And, you're forgetting. He said "masive amounts of damage" and if it was a sniper. It would've taken him in one shot, right?
So it could've been someone with a suppressed rifle. (And don't say supressed guns can be heard, because I've tested, and it travels next to no distance.)

(And a little FYI, it's "Maybe.")

Well it was a lot of damage in a short amount of time. Like a hit every 1-2 seconds.

Did you kill any zombies in that short stroll in the tents?
Had it looked like someone had just cleared it?

If either one of these is yes, then you did most likely get attacked by an invisible infected.

They can hit you 4 times in like 1 attack , so if he got tagged 2 or 3 times that can seem like 8 to 12 hits and suPPressed guns can be heard within 100 meters. They just stop other zombies from hearing the shots not players.

It was probably shooting at you with a VSS, that gun creates no noise whatsoever, be it shooting the rounds or the crack of the bullet

First off, your sentance made little to no sense. Please learn to form a sentance better, and maybe then you can be understood.

As for the suppressed weapons, you can hear them at a close range, but I've tested and my friends and I can't hear suppressed pistol fire 5 houses away. As for rifle fire, I'd say it just goes silent after a little bit more, and not only does it not attract infected (Which it will if you shoot quite fast, it will atract plenty of them.) but it makes it harder for people to hear your gunshots and harder for them to locate you.

(And FYI, I did spell suppressed correctly the first time, and because I type fast, I sometimes miss pressing keys. Thus the second one has a missing p.) ( And no problem with that buddy, anything to keep the levels of retardation down.)

Well i'll go slow and try and explain it so you can understand. A zombie can hit you with up to 4 punches when they attack you. So if the zombie made two attacks on him it could be up to eight punches hitting his character. If it was invisible it would seem like he was getting hit very hard a bunch of times and that could be the reason he said he was getting hit with massive damage. I hope this helped your understanding. Sorry i used short DayZ slang on the above post.

I've never known an infected to deal damage more than once in a single animiation/attack.
And, 8 still isn't enough to do loads of damage, enough to make your guy lose some blood.

And, you used no slang. You just can't form a comprehensible sentance.
