Yes.
How many hits do you need with a 7.62*39 over say, 400-500m(the distance 7.62*39 is good on). Four or five, from a 10 round clip that's about 50% of your ammocap that you need to bring on target. Fairly high amount I think. With an akm you need to hit the same amount but you have much bigger mags and better scopes.
As a dmr the sks is the worst option. The other ones both deliver more damage over the same distance, higher bulletspeed and a higher ammocap and have better optics.
For the ammotype it kinda shares the same spot with the carbine, both being outperformed by the akm.
Now granted it's stronger than an ak47 but you can only compare it to other guns that share the same ammo or the same purpose.
The SKS is not a "spray and pray" type of gun...
Unlike the M4 and AUG... where it takes no skill to hit someome.
It takes ( about ) the same ammount of bullets to kill someone in all three guns...
With the SKS... you have less ammo to make the same bullets count.
So they actually have to hit their target...
Not be sprayed in an "click the mouse and move it in a X pattern" in the vicinity of the person hoping you get some on the target....
Just saying.
More than 30m range? Tap it, wait for it to recenter, tap. And at lower, I'll just hipfire.
Depending on the situation of course.
I'm not just going to hold left mouse, that's just a retarded thing to do.
And I wouldn't exactly call the SKS low ammo, you can do a lot with 10 bullets, and not to mention it reloads quite fast (If you've got the ammo hotbared.)
Why are you taking this personally?... I don't remember naming you as doing these things...
People do it... and for the reasons I gave... end of replies.
