2.Go prone or at least crouch and hold your breath by holding right click mouse button.
3.Wait for a steady target .
4.Don't miss.
Places hmm : Stary Sobor hill, NWAF Forest, hills north of Elekro, Cherno woods north, Myshkino tents forest and so on.
2. Chose a place where you will have the advantage shot
3. Be sure about your actions
4. After each takedown, pay attention to movement of your enemy, most of the time they don't know here the shot came from and they just hide in panic (pay huge attention to the cover spot, see from what side they are taking cover, if you see them in the cover means they have no clue where you are)
5. If you have to relocate, plan your relocation spots before even going into a fight, use distractions, smokes, everything you can, the more confusing the place is, the more chances you will have to relocate sucessfully. (only use smokes and so on in case your location have been compromised, otherwise you are giving them away your location)
6. Be unpredictable, don't use obvious spots, and don't panic if you see someone rushing you, stay sharp and keep always an AKS-74U (with supressor) as your secondary weapon for close quarter combat.
7. Have atleast 1 mate watching your flank, and if you can 1 spotter with binoculars.
Do your homework, chose wisely the place your gonna spot on, and use your mind as your primary weapon.
" - In my sight ... What's the call?
- Take 'em out, one by one ...
- In my scope ... I got 'em, clear shot."
when firing there is so much lift you cant see trajectory of bullet to let you know if your short or far in shot. no point having a spotter as dsync is affected by mussle flash.
You generally don't see the trajectory without a tracer round (unless you have some sort of hawk-snake hybrid vision), you see the impact.
Also saying sniping in dayz is sub par, right now, is perfectly fine. But to say the devs are nerfing it is a bit off, because they have not even gotten to the actual nerfing/buffing (variable balancing) stage yet, any adverse effects may be temporary.
careful with hackers
you can nolonger use bipods on rifle, another nerf. i still cant believe that a m4 comes with a bipod. lolz
