I am not normally a fan of nerfs but I tend to agree the shotgun should not be an advantage over an assault rifle at pretty much any range lol

Thats the whole point of shotguns, they are made to be deadly on close range.
If you go on a shotgun range with an assault rifle thats your own fault.

Yes but the shotgun also ruins all the gear the person had on them so it is balanced.

shotguns will rek ur ass IRL. i think there a realistic repisentation. and shottys are bigger rounds than assault rifles. assault rifles go for number of rounds sent down range where as the shotty is about sending the hurt

at 1:20 they show the diffrence in the rounds.

♥♥♥♥ yeah it does. killed a guy with doubl barrel at close range( like 10 ft away close ♥♥♥♥♥♥ popped out from a corner on me) took both shots seems i clipped him first roun and it ruind literally everything he had.

DayZ is not an arcade game. Get yourself a plate carrier to protect from small pellets with little to no stopping power. DayZ damage system is based on projectile mass, velocity and type.
