It last forever and even if you have characoal tabs it doesn't seam to go away.
I know stuff should be unforgiving, but this is silly. It makes no sense that you must eat and drink so much just to stay alive. You can basically go from hydrated to dying of thirst in a few mins.
There is always another gaming mechanic a blood-testing kit? All you need is a few volunteers and the matching blood. ;)
Sorry but I don't like how people say, don't eat this or that and you will be fine.
Your basically telling people to skip content due to a broken mechanic, why not instead encourage the devs to fix the broken mechanic?
Your not doing the development of the game any favours.
Currently even with charcoal tabs its far more dangerous then any other kind of injury, which really doesn't make sense.
People should be able to drink and eat meat, its something the human has been doing since the beginning of times.
People are just gonna start suiciding at good locations and go and pick up the loot if its too much of a hassle. enduring hours of constant drinking and eating isn't fun or realistic for that matter.
link your feedback-tracker report for this issue, so the dev's are aware? Then again it may not be over the bug-bar and could be dependent on other fixes (Sometimes fixing one issue creates loads more)
Have humans been healing broken bones with an instant magical splint also?
Please stop with this realistic comparison nonsense about something that obviously doesn't benefit your character within a video games, when other factors are not realistic at all.
Well thats what im saying, you can heal broken bones in the game far easier then food poisoning. There is no sense of consistancy in the game.
The game is no simulation, but from what I understand it wants to atleast apply some real life logic. But when there is no consistancy to the logic certain things just comes off as odd.
Like how a person can recover from gunshot wounds in a matter of minutes, but food poisoning takes hours to treat and for some reason requires you to drink and eat insane amounts.
It's not even remotly resembling a real food poisoning. Its just hard for the sake of being hard. Then I rather see more logical threats then this nonsens.
No, I think the poisoning randomly comes from eating canned food, rice or cereal.
That is because of the new animations, new damage system yet to be implemented, of course there isn't consistancy when iterations are ongoing with tech and changes or dependancy on other mechanics, systems and features.
It seems you're looking for full functionality while changes are happening and will continue until 1.0. (The current builds are far from a representation of the changes still to come)
Within reason, after all it is still a game and that is why there are more than one game machanic in place for certain actions. Like the hunger and dehydration mechanics it is obviously an acceleration assessment and the same could be said about our characters speed (Stamina is another system which will be implemented). So you see you can't have total consistancy with incomplete game mechanics or lack of.
Read above and all these calculations will be adjusted when stamina, damage system (individual body parts) and animations for injuries become a factor to the overall gameplay.
I'm sure we will in beta and more than likely once all the above is implemented.
