Question on Farming!

It's just to make sure I did nothing wrong here.
I have every item i need, fertilizer, seeds, water, a hoe-pickaxe ect, ground (i do not use the patches found in towns)

What I do is.

1. Next to my tent, I plow the ground to create the 9 farm patches.
2. I proceed to prepare the plot so I can continue
3. I fertilise the soil with the white bag, white sprinkles appear
4. I plant the seed
5. I water the patches one by one
6. I use the desinfect spray straight after

now the waiting game begins, but every time, I do not get the completed nice green looking leaves when they are ready to harvest, it rather looks like I have lower harvest and the leaves look slightly decayed

does anyone know what I did wrong here? Do i need to spray more, or is this because i do not use the pre patches in towns?

Don't use disinfectant spray is my guess.

Also, did you dilute the disinfectant with some water before spraying it on the plants?

Only disinfect if bugs appear or if leaves look bad, you sprayed before anything appeared and wasted the spray.

If you don;t have any "white bag" fertilizer, just plant one seed first and let it grow - just to create vegetable matter to use instead of fertilizer.
It takes a bit of time but if there are no bags of white powder in town it may be best to grow a bit of green stuff.
