I Have this game on a old account, can it be transfered to my new one?

i want to start playing this again and get a feel for it, but i dont want to have to keep loggin back onto my old account. can it be transfered to my new one?

No, Steam games are not transferrable once they're activated on the account.

Log into your old Account on the same pc as now. Install dayz and log out.
Log into your new account and there you go, the game is in your library

nope tried that, because its a "online" game they wont allow it to transfer over. all it says is please purchase the game when i view it in library

there is somewhat with "familiy share or stuff like that. search for that on google and follow the steps.

Family Share DOES NOT WORK with Dayz ... it is stuck to the account you purchased and activated it on.

So Switch accounts or repurchase... question is why did you give up or move away from your old account ?

oh okay, it worked with several online games for me.. thought it would work

was my brothers profile, not mine. i tried Dayz a few times and since he got rid of his rig he set his steam as home on mine. but i played dayz a small amount ( im still a controller guy) which that was hard dayz versus xbox one pad. i couldnt get into it. if i could transfer it to this account id feel more motivated to try have ago but if you see all negative feedback it puts me off a tad

Switch to the other account, play the game some, decide if you like it or not, and if you like it enough then buy it for your main account. I don't see what transferring the game has to do with your motivation to try it out.

tried it out, 2 x i just dislike logging on and off different accounts, and im not going to buy it when i already own it thats retarded hence why im asking the question i posted

It takes like thirty seconds to log into the other account. It's a slight inconvenience I guess but just let your friends know to add your other account as a friend and problem solved, or buy it for your main account, that's pretty much your only options.
