Is the car 4 still the best gun?

if not, alternatives (that are not shotguns cuz they got nerfed to hell...) Maybe ak? this is assuming i have gage courir mod, ak/car mod, gage weapons 1 and other dlcs but dont think matter that much

No. Many things have always been viable and that is still the case. Maybe not all the same ones, but there aren't many blatantly bad weapons and there aren't any significantly better weapons either.

More guns became viable, personally I've been using the AMR-16 as my main since the update.
For some reason I never really was comfortable with the M308 but I'll check it out to see if it really is the way to go.

M308 has never been a meta weapon imo, sure, it can do alot, but it wasn't as stupidly OP as the Meta 4.

It does suck that all the ARs are mediocre now.

edit: M308 was king in PD:TH, my mistake.

Assault rifles simple are designed for burst fire and make up most of the assault rifles in the game. Battle rifles such as dmr kits, m308 and eagle heavy rifle are quite powerful and fall into line with how most people played all assault rifles before the rebalance. If you burst fire however or can be bothered to the rest of the assault rifles including the car4 are still very very good.

assault rifles are now the least appealing option for guns, but the "best" assault rifle is any of the DMRs. Or the AK-47U.

I find the Famas (clarion rifle) and the AS VAL (valkyria) to be very stable in dodge builds where you use them for high dps while using bronco .44 as the main source of high damage hits

Do you mean the AK Rifle or AK 7.62?

CAR4 is still pretty good since you can use it for any assault rifle role.

The AK 7.62 is an AK-47, and the Krinkov is an AK-47U. The Krinkov is a beast now at 80 base damage and capable of AR-level accuracy. Supressed, it fits perfectly into my Fartgun Killer LMG build as a high-accuracy secondary.
