Especially combined with other blokes running around with Inspire Aced equipped.
That's why it's broken. 'cause it's a waste of points, even when playing solo.
But isn’t Stockholm syndrome about civs trading themselves for you if you’re in custody? Never used it I may add.
Nah don’t agree. Used it a lot and like it. Reason why I’m asking is that a friend of mine said it was broken and I wondered if it’s true and in what way.
In what way is it garbage? Never used it when it was in mastermind skill tree?
Otherwise it was a rather redundant skill to have.
I know you can use Messiah once per custody and later once per doctor bag charge, but I've always felt like it's the "least" out of all of the "saviour tier" skills personally.
Stockholm Syndrome Aced > Feign Death Aced > Inspire Aced > Messiah Aced > Swan Song (lol)
Also, that's just like, my opinion man. Maybe I just like to use being down on the floor as a time to relax and stretch instead of actively trying to score a kill or something, lol.
You guys remember when you needed a skill to use iron sights and your primary when downed? And when Messiah was a Mastermind skill? Good times. Good times.
It wasn't. Old Mastermind Pistol Messiah was a very niche skill that did see some use but generally wasn't massively popular. IIRC, new Messiah is a direct upgrade because it doesn't share real estate with Inspire and doesn't have the weapon limit.
I do appreciate that's just your opinion, but I really can't see why Inspire Aced isn't at the top of your list.
SS only works once and only works on yourself. It's a good niche skill that can save your team in a bad situation but ideally nobody should ever go into custody in the first place.
Feign Death can also be a good clutch, but it requires RNG to trigger and also only works on yourself.
Meanwhile, Inspire Aced works on everyone but yourself, is guarenteed to work, and is almost guarenteed to come into play because getting downed is a fairly common occurence in-game. Sure, it's more expensive, but to get it you're investing in the tree that houses the two most popular deployables in the entire game, so that really isn't a problem. Oh yeah, and Inspire Aced also includes a secondary ability in Inspire Basic, which if used well can give your allies speed boosts and reload speed boosts which is pretty great.
Once again, it is just your opinion, but Inspire Aced is a serious gamechanger of a skill.
Anyway, Messiah really isn't broken IMO and I don't see how it is. It only helps yourself, has a limited use that needs medic bags to fufil, and if a cop KOs you before you can use it, it'll fail.
Sorry, not sorry, if that offended anyone who's first thing to do when designing a new build is to grab Inspire Aced immediately before anything else.
You are just shooting yourself in the foot if you dont take it.
And if you shoot yourself in the foot it affects the 3 other people in the lobby too.
But okay, fine. Dont take inspire. Better get a lot of selfish skills, because you are the best and these 3 other players are your slaves
Also, I am always assuming everybody plays on DS OD when talking about which skills are good...
So if you play on overkill do whatever... Pretty much impossible to lose there.

I use Inspire, hostage taker and Messiah and pretty contempt with it. The reason why I asked was because a friend of mine who used to use it stopped using Messiah and told me the reason why, it’s broken and I wondered if it was correct and in that case how it was broken. You correct we play DS OD
