Just fail a crimespree and you will lose it

Well you can always request a modder to help you but there is no way to currently not claim the rewards.

I don't think it's cheating since Overkill made this mode and high crime spree rank gave you lots of rewards. Though Overkill may not think people can play on that higher level. If you have won the crime spree heist then you deserve to claim that reward. If you don't like it then use your coins for something may be a gun part. Etc.

but look at people soending thousands of hours to level up and im doing it in a few seconds. it doesnt feel right

You don't need thousands of hours to level up to max infamy. Some stay at a infamy level for many hours because they don't want to start from level 0 again and want to do high difficulty heists without being handicapped by missing a few skill points. Some just stay at infamy V because the skill benefits end there and there little incentive to get max infamy.

Depends on how you think. It's good that you feel bad for this but if that time you tried crime spree and you tried to make it succeeded then you deserve to have it. If not... Well there might be the mod outside to delete a reward may be but I'm not sure.

You could claim the rewards and use the Cleaner mod if you feel that bad for money atleast

It's not cheating unless you exploit it to boost infamy. If you're just playing the difficulty because it's challenging and fun then you're fine to claim. If you're infamy 25 with 20 hours then you might as well reset your infamy because nobody will think you're legit. I play high crime spree only because regular missions are boring and OD is just annoying. but during my low levels(and infamies) i sat on the same one so atleast my hours could catch up with the speed of leveling. that and everyone is a profile ♥♥♥♥♥. So if you dont have what they want to see *kick*

Is not cheating, that's how crimespree system work. If you join a high crimespree and succeed, you gain a huge increase in cs reward. As long as it was earn legitimately, you have nothing to worry about.

Player have been known to speedrunning their infamy from 0 to 25 in under 4 hours (Probably lesser).

Also, don't paid heed to people with thousand of hours with low infamy. Some of them already unlock it long time ago & just reset it for the sake of the thrill.

It is even common for some hardcore player to reset it up to 3-5 times. So it won't be a suprise for you to see a player level 0-50 with thousand of hours in gameplay.

I am not a hardcore player, but once max infamy feel boring to me and I decided to reset, it's feel better and fun again.
Sure, I lost masks, money and unlocked arbiter and trophy, but it worthy for the fun I get.

This. I'm still at infamy II.

If you are under infamy V, collect it as all it will do is get you to level 100 in whatever infamy you are, you can gamble or go infamous to lose all your cash and upgrade your safehouse or buy weapon mods using the contintental coins, or you could lose some of it by failing.
