Moral Authority: Need Help
Okay, I've tried everything I can think of, and my moral authority is taking friggin forever to get anywhere. I'm trying to reform the Germanic faith and I have taken control over most of the holy sites. The only one I haven't gotten is Zeeland, and I think that's bugged, because I control the province, but it won't register the site as under my control.

To speed things up, I've tried using cheats for everything from killing off the other religious leaders (who are immediately replaced) to forcing them to convert to Pagan, and yet my moral authroity seems to be stuck at around 27 points.

I've tried to find a cheat that would convert them specifically to the Germanic faith, but no such luck. Whenever I type Religion Char-ID Germanic, the console command just comes up blank and nothing happens. But when I type Religion Char-ID Pagan, it switches them to a pagan of unidentified type.


I've tried using Event 900 and Event 901, as well as Event 55001 and as far as I can tell, it had no impact.

I'm getting kind of desperate, because I want to reform this religion BEFORE I die of old age, because I'm not sure how that will impact my hold on the holy sites I've taken over.

pillage churches, defend against HolyWars, conquer infidel countries, fight for the other holy sites.

Is the temple/Church for the holy site under the control of someone of your religion?

if you mouse over the religion icon it will tell your a break down of what is affecting the moral auth, and the most likely candidate is failed invasions or failed conquests from likely your vassals and now half the world if you converted them.

The "easiest" way to increase authority is to simply win wars and raid other religion's churches.

As a germanic in the scandanavian region your best target is generally any of the brittish area, ireland/walse/england/scotland.

Just progressively raid each county until the churches are burned as each one will give 1% auth each time for about 5 years ingame. so you can realistically gain about 10-15% from churches before the effect of the first ones start wear off.

Wars on the other hand last 10 years, so doing a couple of successful wars and then sailing off to raid will get you a decent chunk of auth. You just need to control all the other ambitious idiots of the faith from losing in wars that they cant win...

Welp, the good news is... I managed to reform the religion by demanding Zeeland's holdings in a war.


The bad news is... I was sacrificed to Cthulhu shortly afterward!
