1st time playing : Canon of Creation or Vengeance ?

I wonder which path should I choose for my 1st time playing ? Am I gonna miss anything in Creation if I pick Vengeance? :o

You are gonna wanna go creation. Likely four times if you want the somewhat full experience tho you will have more demons to play with.

I got my buddy to try this out too (his first mainline SMT game) and I told him go with vengeance. I'm guessing, if you like story, the new path will have a better one, so I told him to go with that. Plus I doubt he'd want to play the first one for 100hrs and then the 2nd for 100. I mean, I did, but I don't touch grass.

There were some specific demons locked in some route in og. Still early in the game so don't know if those can be unlocked in the vengeance too. If you are playing all route anyway, creation first is better since the vengeance route is supposed to add more flavour to creation.

I heard people say to play Creation and at least get the "true" ending, then going to Vengeance. I played around 20 hours of the OG and will go Vengeance because the storyline seems a lot more interesting.

I am unclear on this. Is Vengeance a completely different campaign and story than Creation? Or is it the same one with more stuff added to it like Persona 5 Royal? If it is the latter, I'd rather start with vengeance.

It's a totally different campaign and story, although the early parts of the game are mostly the same.

I believe there are super bosses locked behind both NG+ so you'll want to play both and beat both (probably 3x) if you want all the endings, demons etc.

To do the least amount of playthroughs and get the most out of the new stuff I believe you want to go creation true neutral, then vengeance and then creation again, both routes supposedly have stuff that effect the other, but this order will be more optimal for not having to replay it too many times. It probably also helps to have knowledge of the creation plotline going into vengeance, but you'd pick up on it anyway if you do both in any order.

If you're doing multiple playthroughs I recommend going for True End in Creation first before Vengeance. Atlus is special..

Seem like I still have to go with creation route 1st in order to experience everything . Oh well, vengeance can wait I guess.

I'm on my 1st playthru (creation), came to the decision part near the end, came across this thread trying to decide how to make the most of 1st playthru. Decided to follow Shadowlet's suggestion and spent days doing the prerequisites...Now I'm at level 80 and the only thing left is the Shiva fight. HOW THE HECK ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO BEAT A LEVEL 96 SHIVA ON YOUR FIRST PLAYTHRU?!?!?! This is a CRAP suggestion...Didn't want to spend days or weeks of monotonous grinding just to complete a first playthru...There will be PLENTY of monotonous crap in subsequent playthrus...

I apologize to Shadowlet for the crap suggestion comment. It is not the suggestion for me, but it would be the best for others depending on their goals. Was really frustrated after a good ~10hr grind and thought I was ready to complete...
