After some removal of CERTAIN adjusted models, it is now http://images.wikia.com/leagueoflegends/images/8/86/Heimerdinger.attack08.ogg .
Turns out, it was because I had messed with something in the element viewer I apparently shouldn't have messed with. I had seen that bit about $alpha and noticed that it was in pattern with how to adjust the color of a texture in the element viewer. As such, I had added it in the same way to make a specific part of a model disappear. Apparently that is what caused the error and crash to occur.
Never underestimate the cause of an issue being something of your own design.
It is worth noting, however, that deleting the attribute in the models animation set element viewer tab does NOT make that part of the model reappear, but DOES correct the issue. So this method can be used to accomplish the end goal, it's just that it is a dangerous way of doing so.

Though I suspect, this will be an issue no one else but I would have encountered.
P.S. Sorry for the links to Heimerdinger quotes, but when I have a thought spurred on by something unrelated, I like to give it credit.
