Dual Shock 5 Support? (PS5)
So I'm a PC player and I have a DS5 controller that I just got to play this game since it's originally a game released on Play Station, I should it would have native support but the game still displays the XBOX buttons so I get confused when X pops up on the screen.

Is there not support for it and should I just get and XBOX controller or is there anything I can do about this.

There's no such thing as DualShock 5.

There's the original PlayStation controller, DualShock, DualShock 2, SixAxis, DualShock 3, DualShock 4 and DualSense [Edge]

My apologies, I'm a PC player and not really a play station player. I had assumed they kept the naming scheme the same. I'm so sorry if you were offended by my incorrect naming of the controller.
i would recommend playing with the keyboard and with both hands. When you get to the higher difficulties it's a lot more precise that a pad that is not stable on a flat surface

Dude, you absolutely need a DualShock 4 for this. It's the best controller for the game. The DualSense buttons and their pressure sensitivity aren't as good, and let's not even talk about the DualShock 3. But Xbox? Hahaha, playing a rhythm game on that monstrous gamepad? Don't be silly, you'd be better off playing on a keyboard instead.

What? That got sarcastic fast :)

Not offended, just pointing out that it's confusing if you use the wrong name. They put an end to the DualShock line with PS5 because the new controller actually does not have rumble motors anymore.

The SixAxis is also a controller model without rumble motors. It shipped with the PS3, then later they got around some patent issues and were able to add rumble motors back and revived the DualShock name (DualShock 3).

DualSense uses haptics and has no physical motors anymore. As such, they renamed the controller. It's basically got 2 fancy powerful speakers that can vibrate (but are not intended to play audio you can hear) and produce an effect similar to rumble motors.

No genuinely, by your comment and the fact you gave/are giving me a history lesson on the controllers I thought that it meant a lot to you. Given my comment also didn't help as I can come across as a little sarcastic via text sometimes however I did feel with the answers I had received that my point had gotten across despite my incorrect naming of the controller.

I'll make sure to try and remember to call it the DualSense controller instead of the Dual Shock 5.
Not related, but I use a dualsense and lately I've been having this weird issue where the UI only shows the PS buttons when I'm actively pressing a button in the controller. It then inmediately changes to Keyboard UI whenever I stop pressing a button. This was really annoying, as the mouse cursor kept flickering. I ended up using DS4Windows and forcing an emulated X360 controller. This never happened before and no matter what setting I tried nothing fixed it.:Pitter10:

I just swapped all my button icons over to arrows because it's easier for my brain.
