I want to know Top 4 best weapons

1. Plasma Cutter.

The only 2 weapons that are bad are the line gun (ammo takes up too much inventory space) and flamer (does no damage and is an inferior version of the ripper).
Even then it's worth trying them out for fun, ripper is very ammo effective if nothing else.

Pulse Rifle is stupidly OP, so it's the one and only #1.

Plasma cutter is the best weapon especially during the hardest difficulty(where you can only find barely enough ammo for 1-2 guns without buying) due to good over all damage and haveing cheap ammo that stacks quite a bit.

Pulse Rifle is a good secondary as well and its alt fire can clear an entire room and if upgraded fully will shred everything in its path, but it chews though ammo extremely fast early on.

Ripper is decent but i usually sell the ammo because it requires you to get very close and that can be very dangerous.

Flamethrower, Force gun and Line gun are pretty garbage either to taking too much time to get them to be good or their ammo takes up a lot of inventory

Contact beam falls under the 'too awsome to use' catagory, i once went a game horading its ammo (i think around 10-15 shots) but never used it because i was waiting to use it during difficult fight. in total i only fired in about 3 times

my top 4 weapons when fully upgraded:

Force Gun - great for crowd control and the alt-fire can sever tentacles on those wall mounted Guardians (the primary fire can sometimes one-shot some enemies and is a must against Twitchers)

Line Gun - stasis an enemy, chuck a few timed times, and watch the hilarity ensue

Pulse Rifle - the primary fire is great when shooting the tentacles on the Leviathan, Hive Mind, and even taking off a Brute's leg after getting behind it

Contact Beam - like the Force Gun, this weapon is great for crowd control when using the alt-fire, while the primary fire can shoot off a Brute's legs and the Leviathan's tentacles once fully charged up

Agreed DeathWantsMore. Pulse rifle is #1.

Achievement to beat the game with only plasma cutter, so im only using that.

Also if you only use plasma cutter, you can fast upgrade your suit early on
