I had no idea that there was an agenda to remove heteronormative in this game.
sounds wierd af
The golden age if gaming has long past and the industry itself will have to come to a crash. Unless some random company rises from out of no where and starts to be the tip of the spear by not making incredible games but dismantling agendas all together by taking video games back to their roots. And those roots are making video games for the pure sake of entertainment and not to cater towards a certain audience.
In the end they will just stew in their own feces.
Man people are so fragile these days.
I personally don't play games to have "relationships" with not real characters and that was never a driving factor to get me to enjoy a game (I grew up with NES, SNES, SEGA, PS1...etc). I don't want every character telling me about their gay relationships, but also I don't want characters telling me about their straight relationships either. Just like in real life I prefer people to keep those personal details to themselves, because its no business of mine or anyone else, what a person does in their bedroom.
The best part about starfield is that I can play as a lone explorer and never have to experience either of those things. I don't even have to talk to certain companions if I don't want to.
The reason this stuff is happening is because of how overly sexualized and depraved society has gotten over these past few years. There is practically no modern movie/t.v show that does not have a sex scene thrown in for no reason (they are all practically softcore porn movies now) and now its getting into the gaming industry where every game (no matter the genre) needs to have some overly sexualized aspect to it.
I do agree though that BG3 is especially egregious with sexualizing EVERYTHING, to the point that its kind of disgusting, cringe, and weird. Luckily for me at least Starfield gives the play so much freedom that I don't have to even see or hear about these things, given they are even in the game.
