FPS drops, Bad performance on a good PC
Title, I have no idea why my PC has a hard time in some of the areas. Bigger 'city' areas always drop me from 80+ to 20~. My PC can handle ghostwire on the highest settings, but these... 'Stylized' graphics are too much?

use dxvk. the issue lies with the game's cpu optimisation (or lack thereof)

They're apparently too much so I guess you answered your own question.

Ah, a CPU killer, that explains a few things. Okie dokie. Thanks

That feeling when no one ever goes into details about what a good PC is.

The game ran a solid 1440p120 FPS for me on a Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 2080 Super. The game ran fine for me on Steam Deck too, but that's where I had occasional drops from the usual average of 60 FPS (1280x800).

No problem here 5800x3d 3080 12gb 4k 120 max setting plus more

Title screen doesn't even run at more than 68 FPS my on RTX 4090 and Ryzen 9 3900.

That's lies. I ran the game on a 5800x3d and it tanks at the title screen. Not to mention the gpu is irrelevant

Again, the game is likely crippling the cpu with drawcalls from tbe background npcs. You'd know more about that than I do. All I know is dxvk doubles the fps by changing the dx11 calls into vulkan, so the API is likely the problem

Just saying but I have no such issues with my hardware (5900x, 6800xt) so its not an universal issue. I do notice the game can freeze when taking screenshots, something that uncommonly happens with some other games as well.

I wonder if its something like SAM or whatever the general name for it was again (been a while since I heard anyone mention it) that might be causing the issue. Just throwing that out there, no clue if a reasonable assumption or not.

Is there like a guide for dxvk for persona 5? sorry never heard of it before so I was wondering if it had special requirements/installation method.

Grab dxvk-2.0.tar.gz from https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases/tag/v2.0 , then extract the x64 DLLs to P5R's install directory.

Much easier to do -that- in the Steam version than Microsoft Store :)

However, I would caution against using it, because the game will run at 1080p internally with no ability to change to native resolution.

Performance is completely unchanged, it just introduces scaling bugs.

Works fine for me at 1440p in borderless. Also raises the fps in places like Shibuya from 79 to 120, so I wouldn't call that unchanged.

I just checked again, removing DXVK fixes the problem now. 120 FPS with correct resolution scaling and HDR support, versus 1080p locked internal resolution and broken VSYNC.

I think the xbox game pass version crashes with this fix... fun

Or just set the game priority to low, that what solved it to me, dxvk didn't work for me.
