How to turn off Gamescope
I must have accidentally pressed something because now whenever I launch my games, Gamescope loads up as well.

How do I turn Gamescope off?

Do you mean the statistic overlay that Gamescope gives? Press the --- button while in game and open the Performance menu. There's a slider in there that controls how much information it displays. Slide it down to 0 to remove it entirely.

Yes! Thank you very much. I wonder what the slider did and didn’t realise it was for statistics overlay :)

I restarted my deck and it helped get rid of it

Try setting it to 1, then close the menu, then open the menu up again and set it back to 0. Sometime it seems like it gets stuck at a different level than what the slider is set to.

I have also experienced the overlay showing up and not going away despite the slider never moving from 0. Only thing that fixed it was a reboot. Reboot always fixes it in my experience.

I am seeing the same thing and no amount of rebooting fixes it. Any other suggestions?

What about trying shutting down the Steam Deck and turn it back on again start it up from a cold boot and see if that does anything.

I had same problem. Reboot didn’t work. Only thing that fixed it was that last suggestion, shutdown then boot. Thank you!
