Getting fingerprints off the anti-glare screen
I'm having trouble getting fingerprint oil off my screen. I didn't think about it when I ordered it, but textured surface makes it difficult to just wipe it off with the provided microfiber cloth. What's more, I'm afraid of damaging that textured surface.

i use camera lens wipes
you can also dab the cloth in some 90 proof rubbing alcohol (moist not wet)

I just take a very deep breath, and slowly exhale, fogging up the screen. I then wipe it with a very soft microfibre cloth.

I've got a whole bunch of little isopropyl alcohol-soaked cloths packaged individually for things like phones and laptops anyway. I don't scrub the screen with those, because anti-glare etching, just a gentle wipe to coat the screen in the solvent. Then do the actual cleaning with the provided cloth. If I didn't already have those, I'd likely soak a soft cloth in the alcohol and to the same thing, as already suggested upthread.

That's great. Same here. But the instant I told my brother when he visited for Christmas that it has a touch screen, he couldn't keep his fingers off it.

Sometimes life happens.

My case keeps greasing up my screen and I hate it. I don't know how my Deck's case manages to have more grease on it than even my fingers do.

There's like a permanent grease-spot on the top middle of my screen from where that pull-string is. I can clean it off, but there's no point because it's there again after literally one trip out of the house. I hate it. Lol

Are you maybe smoking or vaping?
Or cooking near your case?

Have any microfiber towels for cleaning cars? Wet one corner and gently rub in circles. Then, use a dry corner to dry it off. Comes out like-new for me every time.

Microfiber cloth. Or buy a screen protector. It will more or less get rid of the anti-glare, but you won't have to worry as much about fingerprints :)

A tiny bit of water on that microfiber cloth does te trick just fine. In REALLY hard cases, IPA it is but water works fine most of the time.

If you haven't tried this, just lay the microfiber cloth that came with the Deck over the screen before you shut the case. I do that every time I put my Deck away and it works like a charm.

That isn't always possible or at least impractical. I have tested some games where none of the controls works except the touchscreen. So I end up using the touchscreen to figure out how to exit the game without doing a force exit.

I have also found that using the touchscreen to go to Options in a game or sometimes just touching any option in a menu will make it so the controls suddenly start working or I have to manually switch to a gamepad or controller setting and then the controls work.

Now, I will say that I only use my touchscreen as a last resort.

But, to answer the OP's question, so far, I have only used the microfiber cloth to wipe the screen. When that no longer works, I will probably try the screen wipes and just be very gentle.

This, but i use 90% proof isopropyl alcohol in a bottle i bought from CVS. This works alot of times when i clean CD's and the CD laser lens on the cd player. I also use this to clean old video games. The fact it is 90% proof or higher is good as the evaporation rate is very fast, which is what you want when cleaning. You do not want the liquid to sit on your items and leave like a watermark. The higher the proof the better. A test has been done on evaporation rates before using isopropyl alcohol on electronics. Feel free to look for it on google.
