There is no set limit. It is how ever many you can build. That is determined by you system and how low the FPS will go when you have very very large ships.
So if we play the game on a 7090 5 years in the future, we could have a ship that encompasses the entirety of the play field? At least above dust
I believe most people knew what i meant. If you would like to speculate. I think the game will be older by then and not up to current tech. So then you would be limited by the game not being up to the standards of the time. It would be like running the original doom on a 5000 series card. What's would be the point? The game would limit its ability if you even got it to work. Hope this answers your question. Hopefully by then we are playing Forever Skies 3 or 4.
Having a massive worldwide airship that blots out the sun like I'm the Persian army and the world is Sparta sounds like a better idea then playing a future game
