Would be nice if that arrow disappeared when you unplug the battery (cause the light on the POI goes out)
The types of one you have visited and what they look like on the map are found in your datapad, once you been to a few you will recognise them as you go without the need to double check via the datapad as it also pops up the first time you land on one when the system does its scan of it.
Yes I would agree that an option to have the visited towers icons to be removed or to just denote they are cleared out once the battery is removed ie go darker on the map would be nice to have since the main tell is when its not beacon if you have been there or not.
Yea you specially look for orange data pads as you open shelves and the core ship buildables are red when you spot them on the ? marked points, can't miss them, some will have specific gear you can pick up like with the paint gun and the modules for it.
Still seeing what else there is out there as I work on getting ready to go back to the underdust a little more prepped.
Exactly. Lots of posts asking for map markers but fundamentally this game is incompatible with something like that as a function.
You just keep going in any directions and an infinite number of all POIs will generate. There is 0 reason to backtrack and its likely impossible.
Ah, I did not realize that. Very good info. Thanks!!
But most of all I would like to have a legend which explains the many radar symbols:
- I understand the plant and windmill symbols. And there are the different blinking lights when I approach. So far so good
--> There are green downward arrows and red downward arrows. No clue
--> There are many many symbols on this downarrows, some small, some quite big and sophisticated. Again: No clue
Exactly, my words!
BTW:
What is POI ?
I also found this good website that explaines the icons on the radar, this makes a lot easier:
https://techraptor.net/gaming/guides/forever-skies-map-and-locations-guide
and sometimes you have a goal on the radar, but you visit before another spot, and suddenly you are too far away so the former goal disappears from the radar. Then it would be nice to have marked the direction before leaving the range.
