Three, in fact. Not even that, to be fair - you only fight one at a time, while the others serve as a distraction, and the point is to manage your damage output to kill all three of them one after another so that the Eldest won't have any backup when he emerges.

Really poor fight imo but cant say I ever found it particularly hard. They at least balance it so the damage they do to you is pretty weak to offset it a bit and Only 2 attack at a time really but a gank fight is nontheless a gank fight so it automatically goes in the ♥♥♥♥ pile. Its not hard its just not in any way fun. 1 v 1 is the only way to go for souls style boss fights imo. Its where the combat excels. Luckily to be fair the vast majority of bosses in Lies are great and 1 V 1.

1) bring a fast weapon with long reach that can stunlock them (plus throwables — shot put, and max level puppet string).
2) lure any 1 of the 3 to a wall and stunlock to death.
3) bring the 2nd one's health low enough to allow a quick kill later.
4) kill the 3rd one.
5) finish off the 2nd one as the 4th one is spawning.
6) safely fight the 4th one.
or you can just get the jackhammer and steamroll the fight with your brain turned off like a certain YouTuber I watched.

Pay attention to the audio queues. The one who speaks a dialogue will always be the one who is mainly fighting you. Switch your target to that one.

You can also bait and run from the last brother so you don't have to parry all of his hard hitting attacks.

Watch them carefully - the one that applies a grindstone to their weapon and gives it an effect is the "primary" target, the other two will stay back and mostly annoy you unless you get close to them. So run to the other side of the arena to bait the primary, fight them until they switch focus and retreat, then repeat. Kill one right away, and then try and get the other two both low, knocking them both out at close to the same time. That way you only have to fight big dude by himself.

Aegis helps a lot if you struggle with the chip damage, but I use maxed Pandemonium as they tend to attack in straight lines so I can just drop an acid pool and they'll stand in it fighting me.

I used this technique for the fight with no specter for NG+-NG3+. It can seem very intimidating, but with careful positioning you only actually fight one at a time! Fire grindstone, amulet that boosts damage based on Fable slots (don't use any fable arts and keep 5 full bars, adds +25% dmg!) and human damage boost amulet are exceptionally useful and help make this more manageable. u can still use items. but here's the thing, u don't actually need to use the items in this fight, and if u did u don't actually just beat them with the items.
imo, the fight with the brotherhoods is the most balanced fight in the game.

Use the phantom, and the cube to heal it? you will have lots of buffs for the cube by then.
