Best/Favorite Fables?
And by Fables, I mean the special moves you get when you equip weapons.

I was going to use the amulet that buffs you for not using Fables, but then I discovered Payback + Conquering Amulet. I soon dropped that combo because it was trivializing every encounter, and replaced it with Absolute Defense and Single Slash.

I ended up mostly using direct attacks rather than buffs, so I wonder if I missed some really good ones. What did you use?

Storm slash is quite good. Since the update, all 3 block fable arts now have hyper armor when you use them, so that makes a bunch of them much more viable.

Rush bash, the one with the electric coil handle, is also very good.

The one on the booster glaive too.

The yoyo fable, best one in the game

The endurance one...turns the game into a bar brawl ala Elden Ring's endurance or DS3 perseverance. Only thing missing is star fists to make it epic tier. God, I LOVE star fists. I have them on my faith, mage, arcane, quality, str and dex characters. If you have a soul, you have star fists somewhere in your inventory in Elden Ring.

4 slash combo with electric pizza cutter blade are pretty awesome, it hits very hard, has a lot of hyper armor during fable art, almost guaranteed applies electric shock on enemies and deal great poise damage

Didn't get a lot of practice with Storm Slash since I started with the sword that gives Link Slash (which is meh). I remember Rush being really good for triggering staggers.

The yoyo thing is the one on that ring special weapon, right?

I remember there being a bunch of fans of Endure when I was lurking around the Elden Ring forums, too, but I never understood the appeal. Then again, I never did try out those p-organ skills that let you keep recoverable health when you take damage, so maybe I'm missing out on something.

Cutter's combo I did see doing a ton of damage, but it felt like it took too long and I was still using Conquering. I guess it would pair really well with that amulet that increases Fable damage during staggers, though, hm.

Proof of Humanity's unique "Link Slash".

Why bother taking a pizza cutter when you can become one?

Whatever the thing on electric baton handle is. Simple, fast, triggers stagger stun. There are lot of cool ones but I find they often result in trading damage and i don't like that.

^What makes endure cool is that it negates the typical "dodge or get stunlocked" trope that is part of this genre. It only last for a short while, so it's not a cheat button, but it feels so rewarding to just facetank and dish out dmg until the boss is staggered. It's basically bar-brawl mode. Forget everything you ever learned about perfect block and dodgin, just man up and accept and dish out pain like a man.

In Elden Ring, when you fight Godfrey, you need to try out a fist, claws or anything fast with endure and go to town, it's one of my favourite bosses in the game for that reason because you can treat it almost like a PVP match.

Speaking of PVP, good look surviving in an elevator if the guy has endure.

Anyway, Lies of P applied the Elden Ring logic and copied the whole move with a slight animation change. It's really badass and makes you feel strong.

Though Elden Ring's endurance is superior, it also negates physical damage for the period the effect is active, and I'm not sure if the Lies of P phys dmg reduction is comparable, or even existent, so you still need to be careful with it.

Here's an MMA fight that exemplefies how fighting using endure looks like (in both Lies of P and Elden Ring) except both these badasses used endure buff for 10 minutes straight LMAO.

I'm a fan of the fully charged wrench head fable art. It's long to charge, but the damage is so satisfying. Also the fable from the piston pick, really hilarious.

I don't really like power up fable arts which means Puppet Ripper is a perfect weapon for me... fast, strong, long range = perfect.
