As I understand it, capturing uses a value system. Each ball has a value attached, and each effigy level increases your base value. The higher your value is against the hp% and level of the pal, the higher chance you have of capturing it.
So in short, capture rate inscreases the chances you succeed in capturing a pal.
However, if you were to set it to .5, that would be 50% of you base capture rate. So, if you saw you had a capture rate of 50%, you'd actually have a 25% chance of catching it.
there's a reason you call them "endgame level pals", you're simply not meant to capture them early on...
if you play on randomizer you're enabling the challenge of having to look where the pals you need are located and make do with what you can find...
just going and increasing the capture rate to ridiculous levels and capture everything on sight no matter the level literally voids the entire purpose of playing randomized in the first place.
yet another mimimi i hear, just go looking for a better place to start your base at...
seriously, if you play a hardcore challenge don't complain about it being exactly that...
look for a place without much of anything spawning, build the base and then just go dungeon diving if you wanna go the easy route, if that's still too hard for you just stick with default spawns and get over the fact that it's simply nothing for you...
and randomized has always been the hardest challenge in any such games, just because you're too much of a "prickhead" to see your own error in judgement doesn't mean others got the same issues.
Even with basic ball I can't catch anything.
anyways like i said x2 is needed. for the endgame pals you find around the area.
[edit: cleaning up the thread of my posts, i blocked the prick]
lmao nope, just 1x is more than enoug, heck even 0.5x is plenty no matter the scenario if you actually use your head and plan ahead instead of going against overlevelled pals you aren't meant to capture at your current state in the first place.
