Frostellion (non-boss version) is fast, doesnt get stuck in caves and can also fly. All the other ground mounts that are a little faster cant fly.

It's very easy to catch early on and also ridiculously easy to breed since he has soo many different pal combinations that give you his egg. It took me only 5 tries to get him with Swift and Runner (+50% speed), he can double jump and has a charge attack that you can use as a speed boost as well.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the first number in the picture is the base speed (walking) and the second number is the running speed. So Fenglope has a base speed of 750 and a running speed of 1050.

This is my current choice as well, it handles nicely and because it can fly you can go up those annoying cliff rooms

Pyrin is the fastest non-legendary land mount by a decent margin. Fenglope and Direhowl are both worth mentioning as other options.

I just got killed earlier when making cave entry with jetragon.
The speed and wall bang has a damage bug.

welp, you got Direhowl, but if you want someone that has just as much vertical traversal as much as horizontal, Id suggest Fenglope. its smaller then Eikthydeer so its horns wont get caught around entrances.

some flying mounts can go through the majority of cave entrances but the smallest cave entrance in these dungeons can only be traversed by pyrin and direhowl, didnt test the others but fenglope and that alpaca probably fit through too

Shadowbeak. I don't bother with land mounts when I have a flying mount that's small and fast.
