Pals Sick, Hungry and Desperate in Multiplayer after 1 day off
Hello Mates,

do you have the same issue, that when you are playing on an dedicated server that your pals running out off food and stuff when youre offline? I turned back to the game and my complete team is sick, hungry and some have broken bones?!

It's currently not solveable. Pals very inconsistently eat, sleep and work when nobody is online.

They might not even work in your second and third base while you are online if they are too far away.

Pretty much everything around pals and bases needs fixing.

Yes, i think the game needs many updates for the Pal System / Mechanics.

We have the same issue with the Egg Hatching Timer -> can't change.
We have change the value in Advanced Settings, but the Hatching Time for a normal Egg at 100% Buff is everytime ~3 hours ^^.

If you build correctly there are no issues if you supplement the right food I leave all the time don't have this issue that's probably because I have ocd and build with a mix of practicality as well as aesthetics.

Same issue here, 2 of 3 bases we always get the issue, nearly simliar setup. If I stay 12 h afk in the base, not single pal is injured, i go sleep for 8 all pals are hungry when i log back in and stand infront of the base nearly dead because of hunger.

Tested and true. If you're offline and someone else is even on the server, unless your base is rendered and the chunk loaded your pals WILL NOT EAT.

Add it to the pile of poor coding in this game.

I can't wait for pathfinding and AI to be updates so your pal can figure out how to move to where they can have a clear shot at something and still attack if they jump backwards and hit a wall or simply attack sometimes when they just stand there.

Recent update has helped a lot with this. Release version was way worse. Hope to see more fixes soon.

There’s a mod that could resolve this too, buts technically it’s also a cheat, prob better to just shove ‘em in the box, yes

Servers run 24/7 palworld dont seem to unload chunks or zones as most other games do . so as long as there are a player online. your pals will keep working. . and eating sleeping and so on. so best option. when going offline. put your pals into the pal box.

Yea, which is why ram eating and cpu% on dedicated is quite higher.

Honestly I’m surprised the server isn’t dumping with ZERO dormant AI anywhere.
If we tried to do that on rust the server fps would be single digits lol.

If they ever give the AI a dormant state these servers would fly, and prob save them a few hundred gran per month on servers

I get that they want people to come back, hence offline penalties. But it's the worst way to do it. As you can see punishing people for being away from your game is just frustrating.

Food and health is fine, when I'm around to do something about it. Making that mechanic more "realistic" by having it continue when I "abandon" my base for weeks at a time is ridiculous.

Either decrease the severity or turn it off all together. "Fixing" pathing and stuck creatures is not even an option in my opinion. This is a terrible way to incentivise people to play.
This hasn't happened to me since the 1.4.0 patch that dropped a couple of days ago.

If you build your Base near an starting area, the pals are fine and work while youre offline.

OR just make a 2nd or 3rd base a farm.... grow like crazy... if u take time to grind to get wood ore etc... do the same with food is it that hard? yes they spoil so what... once they farm it and gather it for u who cares.. its not like ur doing the work anymore

i have 9999 berries so i know theres plenty of food... yes they will get depressed etc with just berries they do regardless anyways
