Koei/Gust, Please DON'T bring back English dub
The problem is... if the English dub comes back, you'll use the dub script as subtitles, so when people play the game with Japanese voices, the English subs will not be accurate to what being said in Japanese.

Unless you make different subs for English voices and Japanese voices separately, like Judge Eye, I'm AGAINST bringing back English dub.

This is a recurring problem in Japanese games, it always adapts to be "more natural" and interferes with the translation.

Current text translations arent great either. I dont know if they would actually be made any worse. :Altina:

This. KT translations are already terrible.

Worse than what the Dusk trilogy had in any case despite that using the dub script.
for once i agree with you. The reason is having English dub will make the game takes longer to be released, just take a look at neptunia games, it takes 6-9 months for the English version localization because of the English dub.

Look at The Legend of Heroes games. Having English dub delayed those games for like 3 years after the Japanese releases.

That's far less to do with the dub and more that the game scripts are huge and localization started way behind on the series. Dub recording is a 2-3 week process at most for most games. NISA is also notoriously slow because they don't seem to want to hire too many new employees. Idea Factory International has an even smaller localization division because, as I said above, Japanese companies really don't care much about the quality of translations/localizations. If it's outside Japan they only care about the sales numbers.

But of course you're going to twist things as you always do.
