Why arent everyone playing this game on gamepass??

I apparently had a free month of gamepass on my gaming laptop so for me this was a no brainer. But even just paying 10usd would have been fine too instead of paying the full price.

Played the game for 10h and now I feel finished with it.

And still missing the point. It's none of your business what ppl choose to spend their money on nor what they should/shouldn't enjoy. This isn't a difficult concept.

Where did you hear that Starfield will be gamepass exclusive on release? I googled it and I find nothing that indicates that this will be the case.

But curiously, I cannot find any confirmation outside of Steam itself that it will be coming to Steam. So, perhaps that does leave some room for doubt about timed exclusive etc.
Remember that Tiny Tina had a Steam store page for over a year before it finally appeared.

Tiny Tina was an Epic exclusive. It had nothing to do with Microsoft. Maybe they'll make it a game pass exclusive, but right now there is no indication that Microsoft is going to make any of their games exclusive to Game Pass or the Microsoft store. Anyone saying otherwise is speculating.

Yeah, I'm just saying, a Steam page doesn't mean a game isn't going to be exclusive elsewhere first. But it does look like I got this one wrong. Happy to be so! I'd much rather play here.

some people like owning digital copies rather than renting them, some people don't have the time to complete games in one month or even 2 so it becomes more than 10$ also, US the deal is cheaper due to low tax rates and such.
Last but not least, same reason why most people don't wanna get an Oculus Quest VR headset, people just don't want to support the company that recieves the money when using gamepass.

You can earn more than enough microsoft rewards points over 2.5 months to be able to claim a free 3 month GPU subscription. I haven't paid for GP since I used the £1 GP offer + converted a few months of XBL to GP and I have a year to go before it runs out, with another 3 month reward coming in the next week or so...

Indeed. A few great games, but most of the last year has been very disappointing.
