that requires at least 65gb free space
but it is about to get much worse and you are about to lose the good will you might have to a great number of things.
Unless you are playing on a laptop, i would suggest picking up a 2nd drive.
If funds are tight, you can get a 2TB Seagate HDD, new, for less than $40 USD
and move your stream library to the HDD
If you are on a laptop, still get the HDD, but then get an external USB 3 drive enclosure for it.
You can find those for around $9 or $10 USD
bout the cheapest way to massively expand your storage
In 2022?
Only if you call a 486 common in 2022
(regarding a 120 MB HDD)
120 MB wont even load a modern OS except for a few tiny linux distros
It is bad enough that these updates can take ages to install without them failing part way through due to a lack of space. Steam should be checking that there is enough space for the update BEFORE starting the process; that way the user can move some games around to make space. This is how it works on consoles, .e.g. my PS5 will helpfully tell me how much additional space it requires for an update.
I wouldnt even buy a 2TB SSD
the price is stupid
Not when i can buy 2TB HDD's all day long for peanuts
